For the first time, the World Health Organization (WHO) published a definition of postcoid syndrome and talked about the symptoms of this condition.

According to the WHO, up to 20% of patients suffer from post-swelling syndrome, or "long-term COVID-19". The condition occurs three months after recovery and lasts up to two months. At the same time, during the "long-term COVID-19", phases of improvement and deterioration may occur several times. The main symptoms of postcoid syndrome, according to WHO, are fatigue, shortness of breath, signs of cognitive dysfunction, as well as other conditions that affect daily life. The organization said that conditions that cannot be explained by other diagnoses should be attributed to the postcoid syndrome, Izvestia writes . As Kubanskie Novosti previously reported, headaches, weakness, memory impairment after suffering a coronavirus can last from one to three months . A significant number of patients are faced with the consequences of covid, even those who have undergone the infection quite easily.
