Spans over the water began to be installed on the new Yablonovsky bridge in Krasnodar

The crossing of the Kuban River is being built according to the national project “Safe high-quality roads”.

To date, the technical readiness of the bridge is 50%, according to the press service of the Krasnodar Territory Administration. The facility has been under construction since 2019 in three phases. The length of the structure will be 400 meters, the bridge will have two lanes in each direction, a sidewalk and a bicycle path. The workers have already erected five of the seven supports, and have begun to erect the steel structures of the superstructure over the water section. - After the last superstructure has been assembled, the road surface arrangement and the installation of the barrier will begin. Under the state contract, the work is planned to be completed in 2024, however, thanks to the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, construction is proceeding ahead of schedule. The plans are to commission the bridge in 2023, - said the vice-governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Trembitsky. About 2.5 billion rubles are provided for the construction of a new bridge in 2021. This year, the specialists plan to complete the installation of all supports, produce 6050 tons of metal structures and assemble half of them. Recall that the existing bridge was built in 1954. In 2019, the technical condition of the facility was recognized as emergency. Currently, the movement of trucks and buses on the bridge is prohibited. - Initially, we planned to bring the technical readiness of the bridge to 50% only by the end of 2021. Thanks to the support of the Russian Government, we were able to increase the pace of construction and have already reached these indicators. Today we plan to complete the construction of a new bridge in 2024. Now the issue of allocating additional federal funds is being considered, which will allow to complete the work in full a year ahead of schedule - in 2023, - said earlier the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory Veniamin Kondratyev.
