It is dedicated to the 230th anniversary of the resettlement of the Black Sea Cossacks to the Kuban by the decree of Catherine II; the commander Alexander Suvorov took an active part in this event.
The project was prepared by the "Kuban Cossack Choir", the Kuban Cossack Host and the public organization "Creative Union of Icon Painters".
- This project is important in that it actualizes the significance of the activities and legacy of Alexander Suvorov for the Kuban. It will contribute to a deeper study of the role of the commander in the history of our region and Russia, will have an important impact on fostering in the younger generation a sense of patriotism, loyalty to the Fatherland and the duty to protect it. It is based on the idea of serving the Motherland and faith, which is deeply reflected in Suvorov's Science to Win, ”said Viktor Zakharchenko, artistic director of the State Academic Kuban Cossack Choir .
The program involves various forms of work with the participants - acquaintance with weapons, equipment, banners and other symbols of the Suvorov time, watching videos and photo presentations dedicated to A.V. Suvorov, contests.
And as part of the grand opening of the program, it is planned to transfer to the St. Petersburg State Memorial Museum of A.V. Suvorov's portrait made in the icon technique. It was written by Sofia Machigina, chairman of the Creative Union of Icon Painters. The second job will be presented to the crew of the nuclear submarine Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, which will soon enter the ranks of the Russian Navy.
Opening of the project “Suvorov. The path to immortality "will take place on October 8, 2021 in the Central Concert Hall of the Kuban Cossack Choir, the press service of the Krasnodar Territory Administration reports.
