More than 1.1 thousand hatches worth 7 million rubles were stolen from the streets of Krasnodar in three years

Since the beginning of this year, 223 hatches on the wells of communications, which were stolen by intruders, have been restored in the regional center.

According to the director of the Department of Transport and Roads, Vladimir Arkhipov , the number of thefts of covers of sewer wells this year in Krasnodar has decreased. From 2019 to 2021, 1173 hatches were stolen from the streets of the regional capital, the amount of damage amounted to 7 million rubles. So, in 2019, 595 hatches were stolen, in 2020 - 477 hatches, in 2021 - 223. During these three years, the Department of Transport and Roads has filed 105 complaints with the city police on the fact of the theft of manhole covers on storm sewer networks. The facts of the disappearance of the covers of the wells are revealed, including according to the reports of residents, to the Center for Monitoring Road Traffic and Transport, in the EDDS. From there, the information is transmitted to the police. Also, employees of the department carry out raiding activities along the main streets of the city. About 4 million rubles are spent annually on the maintenance of hatch facilities on storm sewer networks, the press service of the city administration reports.
